Dear Doyle Families,
We are very excited to begin Doyle PTA’s 2025-2026 California Reads program. This reading program
was designed by the California Teachers Association to encourage reading and was adopted by the Doyle
PTA in 2018. California Reads has been part of the PTA’s annual lineup of programs since adoption and is
accessible online through the Doyle PTA website.
The program starts on Monday, October 6, 2025 and ends on Friday, January 9, 2026.

The program is designed to account for time spent reading. This format enables the students to get credit
for reading various materials in any format. It also allows your child to use classroom-assigned reading to
count towards CA Reads minutes.
Included below is more information about how to participate in this year’s CA Reads program.
